The VST itself is 135mb and the component is 81mb, but I'm not sure why you would need to know that. At 499/399, this is one of the more expensive plugin synths on the market, too, though we still lavished praise on the original version, and Omnisphere has consistently been voted one of the best VST/AU plugin synths in the world today. The folder size for each respective file format (AU or VST) is dependent on how many plugins you have (13.92gb and 4.9gb, respectively for what is obviously a Logic user). Should be pretty simple if you've been around the block a few times.Įdit: As for your question about the size of the component and VST "folders for Omnisphere," I'm not actually sure what you mean other the STEAM folder. (For some reason the audio units version also happens to be located in my user library (HDD > Users > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components) but I don't think that is necessary and most likely was just an error when I initially installed.) ponent is located at HDD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components After many years of development, Spectrasonics is proud to release the brand new flagship virtual instrument Omnisphere. But after getting omnisphere I definitely feel like it was worth the upgrade. There are a lot of good sounds in xpand2 and for 20 the value you’re getting is unbeatable.
Omnisphere.vst is located at HDD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST Soviel ist indess jetzt schon klar, Omnisphere wird sicherlich ein genauso nützlicher und langlebiger Wegbegleiter in der Studioarbeit wie die bisherigen Spectrasonics-PlugIns. Xpand2 was my omnisphere substitute for a while as well. Despite not actually owning Omnisphere, I bought Luftrum 14 because the dude just kills it. With Omnispheres famous Retroland category becoming a major hit with producers, we decided it was time to develop an entire Sonic Extension dedicated to these iconic sounds. HDD > Library > Application Support > Spectrasonics > STEAM, which is 67 gigabytes, give or take a few, as I do have a number of third-party libraries.
